We've lost loved ones by land, sea, and air We've lost loved ones everywhere Some in burning buildings, some by a gun, Some of us have lost everyone Some have died most gallantly On foreign lands to protect you and me They gave their lives So we could be free And not have to live in tyranny Disease has also taken it's strife Putting an end to a loved ones life So on this Memorial Day in May Remember those that have gone away Say a prayer for the ones you love And pray for peace from God above. |
